Jono is the President and Chief Visionary of Pinnacle Pursuits which he founded in 1997 at the age of 26 with a heart full of passion and a vision he couldn’t ignore! At the time he was working as a wilderness boot camp instructor and motivational life skills counsellor for young offenders.
Pinnacle Pursuits, based in Vancouver, Canada, has become an award-winning, global leader in the field of experiential learning, leadership development, meaningful group engagement, and adventure-based team-building.
Based on his depth of experiences in Life, Leadership, Relationships, and Business, Jono is able to bring a unique approach and wisdom to his work and his clients. He is a powerful experiential educator, team-building facilitator, transformational coach, athlete-adventurer, speaker, author, consultant, philosopher, naturalist, motivational and learning theorist, visionary, and award-winning leader, educator, and entrepreneur.
He is a Certified Executive Leadership, Business and Life Coach, Trained Forum Moderator, qualified Recreational Therapist, and holds a University Educational degree in Kinesiology and Human Potential. He is also highly certified in a multitude of outdoor tripping, expedition and adventure skills.
For over 20 years, Jono has engaged, inspired, and empowered thousands of organizations and leaders – young and old – around the world, to break out of the normal comfort zones so they can learn and grow with confidence, to help them better achieve their truest selves and fullest potential with purpose, passion, clarity, courage, creativity, commitment, authenticity, and a sense of play and adventure!
Jonathan was a winner of the 2007 Business in Vancouver Top 40 under 40 Award which celebrates BC’s outstanding entrepreneurs, executives, managers and professionals. In additional, the Association of Experiential Education recently awarded Jonathan as the first Canadian to win the Willie Unsoeld Award which recognizes and celebrates an exemplary educator who continues to contribute the field of experiential learning by inspiring and impacting people worldwide.
